Get to know I Am Remnant's, Jon Kazerouni

I Am Remnant is a Christian-Rock project based out of San Antonio, Texas. "Confessions" I Am Remnant's first studio album is predicted to be released sometime between mid to late 2015. The title of the record was inspired by "deep conversations I was having with God", says Jon Kazerouni - co founder and lead singer. "I was pouring myself out before God, and found myself completely exposed before Him. Every sinful and broken part of myself I found, He loved most about me. He said, as perfect as I could strive towards being it would never be good enough in the end. I found so much comfort in that being because I felt I had to measure up to so many people in my life on some many numerous occasions. I didn't feel good enough for anyone or anything, until I met Jesus christ. Though I felt small and undeserving before this Almighty Presence, the fact The God of the universe wanted to know me personally and wanted to use my brokeness to serve a Greater Purpose in helping others come to Christ through my testimony amazed me. Everything began to make sense the more I opened myself up to Him and sought after The Lord who Loves all of so much. I was caught up in so much pain and had so many unanswered questions. But, I found in reading His word in the book of Matthew 7:7 The Lord says to all of us, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you". I can honestly say The Lord is a Man of His Word. I sought after Him over a year back in 2012 through 2013. I was having a rough time during that point in my life and had turned from my Faith for awhile. But through God's Patience and Love for me He allowed me to stray from Him, but He convicted me in all I was doing. So, after I was completely emptied of everything I was feeling it was then that I really began to seek God with my whole heart. Then it happened, Jesus answered me. It was an agonizing couple of months, but He made Himself known to me. He is a God who stays true to His Promises He has made to each and everyone of us. We are His children, and there is nothing He would not give or do for us. He gave us His only begotten son as a Testimaent of His Love for us that He would allow Him, being Jesus, to be killed for us so we may Live. The Bible says He came to this earth and became flesh. Not only to set us free and spare us His condemnation us, though it would be jus, but so He could intercede before The Father for us having understood the temptations we all face. This is the God that made Himself known to me. And in the first stages of me learing what it meant to follow Jesus it started out by confessing Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Then, I confessed every sin I had every committed to Him. Every disgusting and wicked thing I have ever thought, said or done He already knew. But, He wanted me to recognize who I was apart from my Salvation and surrender it all to Him. Another huge part of coming to Faith in Jesus was dedicating my gifts He has Blessed me with to Him who allowed me to receive them. So this album is not just my confessions to Jesus of everything that has been locked away in my heart, but it's a testimony of who I was and who I am today. Revelation 12:10-11 "Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. 11"And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death".
